The Department of Interdisciplinary Studies collects, processes, expertly and scientifically researches and presents archaeological material that is subjected to specific work methodology, special conditions of storage and deposition of material and specific method of conducting fieldwork.

The Department of Interdisciplinary Studies is comprised of the following museum collections: Epigraphy and stone sculpture, Numismatics (Ancient and Medieval), Anthropology and Archaeozoology. Each of the aforementioned collections encompasses archaeological and museum material that originates from a broad time span, i.e. covers all of the periods, from prehistory until the Middle Ages.
