The Archaeological Museum of the Republic of North Macedonia houses the oldest and largest specialized archaeological library in Macedonia.
The library fund counts over 6,000 books (with over 20,000 professional and scientific works by domestic and foreign authors). Among the numerous books are also very rare editions, published since the beginning of the 20th century, and the oldest of them dates from 1881.
The library is available to all readers, not only to scientists, archaeologists, experts, but also to all lovers of books and the history of cultural heritage and archaeology.
Thanks to the selfless contribution of museum institutions in the Republic of North Macedonia and abroad, as well as personal donations from our colleagues, the Archaeological Museum will continue to be the core of data for many future researches and generations of researchers.
